Arnold Schwarzenegger may be returning to making movies soon

Arnold Schwarzenegger's 2nd term as Governator of California comes to an end in 1 year. He is not allowed to run for a 3rd term per California law, and has announced that he is finished with politics when his current term as Governator expires at the end of 2010. Arnold recently stated this about his political future:

“I have never labeled myself as a politician, so I am not going to run for anything else.”

Arnold did not say whether or not he will return to making movies again, but why wouldn't he? A return as the main star of a film should attract a large audience of fans who are dying to see Arnold back in action. But if he does return what type of movie would he be in? Well for starters he will have a cameo role in Sylvester Stallone's next film The Expendables, which is due in theatres sometime in 2010. He also could appear in Predator 3, which is now being referred to as Predators, however if he does so it would only be a cameo role as well since production of that movie is expected to begin before his term as Governator ends next year. You may also want to think back to the movies that Arnold was rumored to appear in prior to taking the Office of the Governator in 2003. Those rumored films back then were King Conan: Crown of Iron, which Arnold may not be willing to do at this point in his career. Another one was True Lies 2, which has been talked about for almost 10 years now, and it seems that every 6 months its either back on the shelf, or back in production, but this film would probably not be Arnold's best choice for a comeback. Also back in 2003 Arnold himself admitted that he was in talks to do a remake of on old film called Westworld, which he would play an android at a high tech amusement park whose circuits short out, and then starts to hunt the guests down one at a time. This sounds like a great idea but Arnold may not want to do this film anymore due to possibly being typecast as a robot because of the Terminator films, kind of like how he was typecast as a barbarian actor in the early 80's from being in Red Sonja and the 2 Conan movies.

At this point it is really hard to speculate as to what Arnold's comeback movie could be, and what else he may have planned for future films, but as further news develops on the probable comeback, you will be first to know.
